I am currently an English/Literature teacher. I provide tutorship to secondary school learners.

I have always enjoyed teaching. One thing is to do what you do. Another is to enjoy what you are doing. I believe that teaching involves drive, passion that drives you on and on till you get to your destination when you are presented with results, and at the same time, you are building lives. I enjoy having the young ones around me and engaging them in some activities outside the classroom setting, which most of them have been endeared to me, and this has triggered my love for them. I engage with teenagers with so much enthusiasm and curiosity to know their life goals, interests, and preferences, what they enjoy doing, their likes and dislikes, academic competencies, and challenges. These are ways that I establish a communication platform, thereby creating a friendly atmosphere around us. This, surely builds their trust in me thus, they can rely on me and open up to me when they have challenges and on own my part, when I discover their flaws and challenges, I try to help them by taking up the position of a guidian to guide, nurture, groom and discipline them to become better outside the classroom. During my service year, I had the privilege of being involved with a group of young people in our regular class with them. I organized a moral and counselling class with them. I educated them morally, academically, and spiritually based on their age. Though their cases challenged me yet very rewarding, they also opened me up to skills that would be of good benefit to me in the academic field and in the future. I have worked with a team of staff in the area of sensitization for the young ones; students regarding their sexuality against moral decadence in the society and also guide them in line with passion towards achieving their educational goals in life.
