Advert description
I am a self-taught bilingual and have previous experience volunteering as a language facilitator with the language centre at King’s College London, where I helped Spanish learners practice their oral and written language skills in hour-long, weekly sessions in preparation for their tests. Through this experience, I honed my communication skills with Spanish learners and how to direct language practice sessions to keep them interesting and educative.
I recently completed my MSc in sustainable development at King’s College London and this experience would not have been possible without an excellent level of English. As a Spanish tutor, I will bring my experience working and learning in bilingual environments for over 4 years to help you succeed in learning a new language.
My sessions are easy-going and I usually focus on practice and gaining confidence with the language, rather than strict theory. I may also help with grammar and check written work, and adjust the practice material and session structure based on your language skills.
I strive to make them entertaining and interesting by bringing practice material targeting the 4 different skills such as speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Normally, we would just focus on one skill per session to avoid making them overwhelming. I prefer having small groups of up to 3 people, and one-on-one sessions.
