Musical Control & Understanding On The Drum Kit

My lessons are greatly focused on taking simple musical concepts and applying them in every possible way to the drum set. Trying to teach the student how an idea or phrase can be applied it to the drum kit in different ways using different styles and idioms, always taking into account how the idea can be used practically when playing with other musicians.

I also put emphasis on finding out what kind of music the student is interested in playing and what kind of music the student enjoys, so I can understand what musical goals the student might have and thus how best to structure my lessons.
