With 25 year teaching experience I have taught at major Music colleges and institutions throughout the Uk. I am an official Certified Trainer in music production tools and train aspiring producers, composers and musicians in the use of Digital Audio Workstations such as Logic Pro, Ableton Live and Pro Tools. I also teach other software (ie Reason, Melodyne) including all the major plugins and sub systems. (Please message for details)
Students will gain comprehensive understanding of the tool sets and lessons will include:
Overview of the interface, how to navigate and customize the workspace, and basic audio and MIDI recording techniques.
Editing and Arranging: Covering the various tools and techniques for editing audio and MIDI files including cutting, copying, pasting, and quantizing. Also covers techniques for arranging your tracks into a finished song.
Mixing and Mastering: Understanding the concepts of mixing and mastering, and how to use various effects and processors to shape your sound. Topics include EQ, compression, reverb, and more.
Working with Samples and Loops: Learn how to import, edit, and manipulate samples and loops in and how to use them in your compositions.
Advanced MIDI Techniques: Exploring the more advanced features and MIDI capabilities, including working with virtual instruments and controllers, MIDI effects, and advanced automation techniques.
Final Project: Students will use the skills they've learned to produce their own original song and prepare it for final mix.
