IELTS Trainer with 8 years of teaching experience

Hi, I'm Yutmen. I'm a professional ESL teacher in one of the world's biggest language schools in Bali, Indonesia. I graduated from University College London, UK with the degree in Education and Technology. I have also taken Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) for Young Learners and Managing the Teaching and Learning Process.

I have been teaching for about nine years. I realize that teaching is a challenging work especially when students come from different cultural background which is why teachers need to have broader cultural understanding and right approaches to teaching students from other countries. Having lived in different places (Timor, Java, London and Bali) throughout my entire life has prepared me well to face this challenge.

I would recommend you to book a lesson to discuss your personal goals so that I can customize the lessons that are appropriate for you. As for my classes, I offer informal lessons in which we talk about different topics related to everyday conversations. These lessons are not prepared, so please feel free to bring any article or material for the class. I only recommend this class for intermediate and advanced students. I also offer formal classes where we look at vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing as well as grammar. These are prepared by me and are suitable for both beginners and higher level students. I also teach IELTS Preparation Course for those who want to study in English speaking countries that require IELTS such as the UK and Australia. There are two types of IELTS Exam - Academic Module and General Training. I only teach IELTS Academic Module.
