Expert GCSE Maths tutor

Having achieved 10 A*s and 1A at GCSE, A*A*A*AA at A-Level and a 1st class graduate in Finance, I am up to speed on what is needed to excel in examinations.

As a full-time tutor, my core focus entails an in depth coverage of the specification which is tailored to both the student and exam board and thorough exam practice to secure top grades. My style of teaching includes the-method which firstly involves identifying the topics/areas the student struggles with by using a custom topic list that I have made over the many years of tutoring. The second step includes understanding the concepts of the topic area with examples to use as support for building knowledge. The third step is used as consolidation by applying the knowledge learned to previous exam papers / exam style questions. If the student and I are happy with the progress, we will proceed to the final step where I push the student to tackle even harder exam questions and teach them further/advanced topics to improve their weaknesses that have now turned into strengths.

Not only have I mentored and tutored students for several years which has given me sufficient practice, but being a student myself I know what it is like to struggle and not understand topics. Hence I have learned many simple tricks to make challenging topics/concepts easier to understand.
