I found yoga, or yoga found me, in 2012 when I was not coping with the stresses of daily life in London. Initially, yoga helped me find a way to cope with the stresses as it provided calmness, peace and sleep. But after a trip to India, during which I studied with incredible teachers, it became a way of life. Finally I understood that yoga is more than just a way to calm the mind, it is a way to live life to the fullest.
After India, I continued to study yoga at the Byron Yoga Centre in Australia in 2019. This is when I also started teaching Hatha Yoga. I feel passionate about sharing the practice with others and my teachings interweave yoga philosophy with asana practice and meditation. In my classes I draw on my own daily practice, with a focus on moving the body safely.
I have practiced yoga all over the world and studied with renowned teachers including Kamal Singh, John Ogilvie and Bec Isaacs. After many courses and practice hours, I still very much consider myself a student more than a teacher. I am confident I will continue to feel this way for the rest of my life as it is a practice that simply does not stop giving.
I strongly believe that living a happy and fulfilled life is not something we find outside of ourselves through material things or by building the perfect body. We all have peace, contentment, stillness, and all the wisdom we need within us. Yoga helps us tap into this.
