I graduated from University College London in MA Education, Gender, and International Development this year. After an insightful academic year at UCL’s top Institution of Education learning, I understand the different strengths and weaknesses of each individual, so it is critical to develop effective strategies that allow students to choose and learn freely and joyfully. Another focus is to teach them about application and importance of learning a new language in this international and Internet era. With my decision set on working in education and serving experiences, I am motivated to pursue this program of language teaching by my native Mandarin Chinese knowledge and skills that can be comprehended and translated with my fluent English.
My experiences, including part-time English teaching in primary schools and private tutor in China, showed me the importance and necessity of creating utility for society. Both require knowledge of people, whether it's appealing through a form of services, or fulfilling a service that is needed. Furthermore, business and education are continuing to merge, thanks to advancement of technological uses in institutions and the demands on education, especially in global languages usages and learning. With one-year- online course experience in 2020 due to the pandemic, I believe that the difficulties of online teaching can be managed and utilize the Internet benefits to reach more diverse and broader groups of students to learn this demanding language, Mandarin Chinese.
