Biology tutor providing online tuitions

I am a Bioengineering graduate with a master`s degree in biochemical-biotechnology engineering. I have taught various biological and other science courses throughout my career. I think teaching scientific courses require an engaging and a two-way teaching technique, so I`m always asking questions to work out exactly what my students know about the topic so we can rule out any misunderstandings and build a proper comprehension of the subject together. Learning without understanding the conceptual idea of a topic is pointless way of learning. I encourage my students to go through the topic beforehand and come up with the questions they might have regarding that particular topic and I prepare my lesson accordingly. This helps the students to answer any questions based on the topic in their exams as they have not just crammed the answers but understood the theory behind the topic.
Also, I believe in building a friendly rapport with my students because I don’t think kids can learn well under stressful conditions. Patience is the key. I very patiently deal with my students and encourage them to ask even the smallest of the doubts they may be having related to the topic. I am always ready to spend time working on something from different angles if it helps the student.
