Advert description
I am a final year International Relations Undergraduate at the LSE. I received a 7/7 (highest score) in Higher Level Global Politics and Chinese in the IB. In the end I received a 42/45 in the IB. I am also on track to receiving a 1st class degree at university.
I am fluent in both English and Chinese as I am from Taiwan and grew up in Singapore. I attended United World College Southeast Asia, a top school in Singapore, and completed my International Baccalaureate Degree there.
I believe I have the experience, skills and confidence to teach Global Politics and International Relations. I will do everything in my power to help you achieve the grades you need for your dream university as I have done so for my past students.
About the lesson:
I have been teaching students private lessons and helped them achieve top scores for 5 years. I have helped students with their internal assessments. extended essays, essay structure, exam preparation, global political challenge and other related assignments.
I have a unique background as I have had experience teaching study skills to students across the UK. I worked for a company called Elevate Education and I have helped many students across the UK acquire the study skills needed to succeed in their exams. These include research based study techniques for conceptual learning, dynamic reading, motivation, memorisation, time and stress management. I incorporate these skills I have learned and taught to each of my lessons.
I begin by assessing my student's current level and asking them what grade they are aiming to achieve. Then I collaborate with my student and set goals for helping them achieve the grades they want or need for university. I am able to help my students develop wide range of skills needed to succeed in the IB exam and university, whether its learning how to structure an essay, various strategies and techniques to ace their exam or public speaking tips and tricks.
A typical length of a lesson is 2 hours because from my experience 2 hours is usually sufficient to cover the material and avoid tiring the student.
