Hello students and parents!

I have over a decade of experience as a private tutor, predominantly in history, English and politics. I love helping my students, adults and children to achieve their academic and personal goals, irrespective of their educational background or level. I also provide support for students with essay planning, writing and structure, revision and exam prep and getting ready for the 11 plus.

I have master's degree in Russian and Eastern European Literature from University College London. In addition to my work as a private tutor, I have a strong professional background as a senior researcher, writer and editor for published nonfiction books, in print and radio journalism and, most recently, on a number of historical television documentary and drama series. My historical research has covered everything from the Viking age all the way up to the turn of the 21st century!

I tailor my lessons to the specific needs, goals and preferred learning style of each student so that our lessons are as engaging and productive as the individual student needs to help them reach their personal learning goals and, most importantly, enjoy the process along the way!
