Advert description
I have all my teaching material on my laptop and I use online tools such as Google Meet, Digital Whiteboard and YouTube for teaching. I have students that are learning from me for over 5 years now despite the pandemic and location challenges, I think that shows my credibility. I have faced issues teaching kids that have never had an education in their life but I overcame those challenges after figuring their suited methods, likes and habits. I use my words of encouragement and enjoyment to get along with the students easily. I use games, fun activities, regular healthy activities for the students to engage actively and relax at the same time. I include various cultural aspects across the world in my lessons which will help the students to understand the world outside their culture, at the same time I am careful on sensitive subjects. Some effective activities are matching pictures and words, Pictionary and lesson in the form of songs. For over 3 years now I have been teaching online only. I have explored various platforms and tools to teach and instruct classes. Other than slight network issue (on my side or student's side) I have never faced any challenge teaching online or using any digital tool. I have taught various kinds of students. For instance, cranky students who have never had a tutor and disciplined ones as well. I tend to modify my lessons accordingly and teach them with various warmer activities and fun games. And for elder students I find out what interests them and take healthy intervals to loosen them up. I spend around 8 hours a week teaching and a lot more hours preparing. I create language learning lessons on MS Word, MS Powerpoint and maintain class schedules on MS Excel. I spend time according to the student's needs such as exam time vs vacation time. I take a note of the student's lessons, and create my own exercises inculcating the words, scenarios, grammar and characters of the lesson. I ensure the student learns every word of the lesson, understand its meaning and use them in sentences.

I have been teaching English as a first & second language for over five years, and I have developed a range of teaching skills and methods that have proven effective for my students. I believe that a successful English language programme should be tailored to the individual needs of the student. For this reason, I use a variety of teaching methods and activities to ensure that my students are engaged and motivated. I use individual, small group and whole class teaching, depending on the needs and abilities of my students. I also use a combination of visual, audio and tactile activities to maintain the interest of my students.
One of the skills I bring to the classroom is the ability to create a positive learning environment. I use humour, visual and audio materials, and a variety of activities to ensure that my students are comfortable and engaged. I also use cooperative learning activities to encourage students to work together and help each other.
In addition to my teaching methods, I also use various assessment tools to track the progress of my students. I use formative and summative assessments to keep an accurate record of student progress. I also provide regular feedback to my students and discuss their progress with them.
Finally, I also use a variety of resources to supplement my teaching.
