Advert description
I am currently in the third year of my International Relations degree at the University of Edinburgh and am interesting in tutoring part-time alongside my studies. I have worked with children for over 4 years from volunteer work for local disadvantaged children, to working at an 11+ tutoring company, in which I work part-time (in my university holidays) as an assistant tutor, invigilator, and marker. Having attended a grammar school, I know first-hand the experience of 11+ exams, and have a lot of experience working with primary school students.
My work has mostly focused on English and Maths, and I am looking to continue tutoring in these subjects.
Additionally, I received a grade 9 (A*) in both my GCSE English Language and Literature, I have always loved English as a subject and am an avid reader. Although I did not take English A-level, I studied History, German, Economics and Psychology (4 A*s), and have always been particularly interested in essay subjects, so I believe I can offer useful guidance in terms of the exam skills needed for English and other essay-based subjects. I would love to share my experience and everything I have learned from working with primary school children, and apply it to different levels of education.
I am currently studying in Berlin for a year abroad, so my classes would take place online. As a tutor during the pandemic, I already have experience in giving online classes, and believe this can be equally as effective as in-person tutoring. I am patient, reliable, hard-working, and motivating to work towards your goals.
