I am currently in the third year of my International Relations degree at the University of Edinburgh, and am doing a year abroad (from October 2022- July 2023) at Freie Universität Berlin. My classes here are in a mixture of German and English.
I have over 4 years of tutoring experience, in which I have mainly tutored English and Maths for primary school children, but I am hoping to extend my tutoring to German at a variety of levels.
I have a B2 proficiency level of German and received an A* at A-level, so am well-equipped to tutor German at various skill levels. I have always loved learning languages (and have studied several others to various degrees in the past), and believe I have a good understanding of how best to improve your language skills and confidence. The lessons will be tailored depending on your study approach, for example they may be more free-flowing conversations to practise speaking skills, or more structure grammar lessons or include reading, writing and listening exercises.
As I am currently studying in Berlin for my year abroad, my classes would take place online. As a tutor during the pandemic, I already have experience in giving online classes, and believe this can be equally as effective as in-person tutoring. I am patient, reliable, hard-working, and motivating to work towards your goals.
