Advert description
I did the AQA Law A Level and then went to Maastricht University, graduating with a degree in European Law, where we studied not only the English public and private law systems but French, German and Dutch too, as well as International law and Human Rights. This was always taught comparatively and gave me a detailed understanding of how each country came to grow the legal system they have today, where their ideologies stand and how these work in practice. This gives me all the context and depth needed to explain the, sometimes complex, English law, their endless caselaw, and how English law students need to think to solve a case study.
Regarding tutoring, I have taught on and off since the age of 16, I taught English to children from age 6-12, and then in university I taught fellow students specific law subjects they struggled with and exam answering techniques and styles. The latter is what people seemed to worry most about but once you understand what the examiners are looking for, it can be very straightforward!
