Violin, viola, piano, music theory: an experienced and adaptable teacher offering lessons to beginners and advanced students

I am a passionate and adaptable teacher with a Master of Music degree in performance. I have 10 years experience in teaching learners of all ages and ability levels. Lessons are structured and supportive, encouraging students to continue a lifelong love of music through establishing a well rounded knowledge of the fundamentals of learning an instrument.

I am a qualified Suzuki violin teacher and have been a member of Suzuki Music NZ and the Institute of Registered Music Teachers. As part of my masters degree, I did a module on music education, researching adapting teaching pedagogy to suit the modern music learner. As a musician, I play viola in ensembles, conduct orchestras, adjudicate music competitions, and most importantly, am passionate about music education.
