Selina is an experienced tutor of Sociology, Social Policy and Psychology, having assisted learners from GCSE to Masters levels.
Selina holds a 1st Class BSc in Sociology & Social Policy, an MSc in Social Science Research Methods, and module credits towards the MSc Post Graduate Certificate in Education (a teaching qualification) - all from a Russell Group university. Prior to this, she gained an 'Access to Social Welfare Professions Diploma' (with distinction).
Presently, Selina is midway through a full-funded mixed methodology PhD (health policy). She has also undertaken a variety of social research work for organisations including local Government and other public bodies, third sector/charitable orgs., and several universities.
As a tutor, Selina is highly committed to helping learners fulfill their potential and to overcome any barriers that may prevent this. Her approach involves collaboratively designing a personal learning plan with students, identifying: areas of concern, learning aims and objectives, and the ways in which desired outcomes will be achieved.
