Firstly, I love to sit down and learn about you and your interests and goals. This then helps me clearly shape a plan from A, where you are now, to B, where you want to be. This could be with performance, technique, speed, music theory. I could be anything. Having this information means I can tailor the lessons to your specific tastes and preferred style of learning/ Genres you like. I can cover most styles of playing which means if you would like to learn a new style we can cover that too. Some people like to take the route of grades. That is entirely up to you. Grades give a well structured, well rounded, issue free experience when It comes to progressing at the guitar. You chose 3 songs, and learn some technical exercises and then you can take the exam. That being said, they aren't for everyone. I personally think they offer a good structure if you are unsure on what you'd like to learn. So when learning from the book, you can start to discover what you do and don't like about the instrument and then we can further tailor lessons to your specific desires or needs. I teach from home and I can teach on zoom too.
