I have been teaching for more than 30 years and enjoy it. I want to help

I, Dr. Noel F. Thomas, am an experienced lecturer who loves teaching and has taught chemistry in England and Malaysia for more than thirty years. I am willing to teach, in addition, GCSE Maths and English. I am familiar with the WJEC (Wales), Cambridge and London examining boards. I returned to the UK on the 24th January this year, after 24 years in Malaysia, and would like remain mentally active. I have been involved with supply teaching in several Cardiff schools (may to July this year).


I taught organic and medicinal chemistry at Bath University England (-), and from 1997, the National University Malaysia (UKM), University College Sedaya International (Malaysia) and for 14 years at The University of Malaya where I was full professor (-). I was also able to tutor A level students etc privately.
I also taught general chemistry to pre-university students on the American Degree Transfer Programme at The Methodist College in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (from 2017 to 2021).

BSc (2 ii) Hons Chemistry University of Salford (1980)
PhD synthetic organic chemistry, Cardiff University 1985
