Experienced Director of English & Whole School Literacy

I have 12+ years experience teaching in an Ofsted Outstanding secondary school. I was part of the senior leadership team and taught students of all abilities and personalities.

There is no 'one size fits all' method to tuition and I am happy to work with you at your pace to find a learning style that works with you. I fully recognise that each student has unique learning needs and preferences and I will tailor my teaching approach accordingly.

I'm patient, empathetic, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment that encourages students to explore their strengths and weaknesses. I aim to explain complex concepts in a way that is accessible and engaging, using a variety of teaching methods such as visual aids, interactive exercises, and real-life examples.

I'm also highly flexible, able to adjust my approach in response to feedback from students and adapt to unexpected changes in the learning environment. I think it's integral to build strong relationships with students, earning their trust and respect through their expertise, professionalism, and dedication to their success.
