CELTA-qualified English Literature graduate

Hello, my name is Naomi and I am from the UK. I have a bachelor's degree in English Literature and a Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I completed my CELTA from September to October 2024 and taught pre-intermediate and upper-intermediate level students as part of my certificate. I am bilingual and speak German and so I myself have experience of developing my skills in other languages. I also learned Welsh throughout my school life.

I will make sure my lessons help you with your goals. We can focus on conversational English and how to use English outside of the classroom. As well as speaking, I will help you with the skills of reading, writing and listening. We can also work on vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. I can teach General English. I am a gentle and encouraging teacher who will support you during your language-learning journey.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy creative writing and am in a writing group. I think this links to my teaching as I am interested in words and how they can be used.
