I have taken IGSCE in year 2020, in which I have scored 1A*8As1B (A*- Mathematics, A- Accounting, Business, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Additional Mathematics, 1st Language Chinese, Foreign Malay Language, and B- English). I have also scored A for Mathematics and B for Further Mathematics in the AS Level. Furthermore, I took a course titled BSc(Hons) Actuarial Science with a Foundation year, and have already done the foundation year. I have scored 91% in the subject named Geometry and Trigonometry, 81% in Foundation Statistics, 80% in Foundation Mathematics 1, 84% in Vectors and Mechanics and 95% in Foundation Mathematics 2. Other than those stated above, I have participated in plenty of mathematics competitions in the past, such as University of St. Andrews Mathematics Challenge 2019. I have been attending maths classes, such as Kumon and Olympiad Maths ever since I was 8.
Being determined, I always setup up goals and finished them within a stipulated time. Having the chance to be a maths tutor in college enhanced my understanding towards the subject and gave me the chance to help my peers understand the concepts better. I always try my best to help my younger brother (aged 11) with his homework by explaining in an easier and more interactive way. Having served as a ‘senior’ in Dale Carnegie, I practiced leadership in real life and learnt to be a good leader. These experiences cultivated my communication, interpersonal and social skills. I believe that I can overcome any possible difficulties with a positive attitude and hard work. My commitment to my studies highlights that I am a dedicated and hardworking person, which I believe plays an important characteristic in becoming a good tutor in helping students to clear their doubt.
