Hello

My name is Andrew. I am an English teacher. I hold a BA Ed Hons with English specialism as well as QTS
I am serious about your learning and I like to have fun in my lessons. My lessons are always engaging. Confidence is key. Development of confidence comes through positive experiences and this comes from individualized learning.
I like to use both traditional and modern methods of teaching and I will always tailor lessons to both suit and enable the learner as an individual. This is the beauty of online, one to one learning
I have taught a large variety of people to speak and write English correctly. They range in ages from to 1- 99 years old. I have also tutored dyslexic boys and taught to children with Special Needs, using the same small steps, big progression strategy.
I am well read and am happy to discuss writing, story/ character/ plot formation and processes for reading and writing well.
I often use literature, in its many forms. You will learn from the best examples of English. Sometimes humorous, sometimes dramatic. Always Excellent.
I am happy to teach spelling strategies as well as handwriting skills.
As an actor I have often taught voice control and public speaking and am happy to do so on this platform
I can teach you from the simple basics of the Alphabet to the beauty of Shakespeare.
My lessons use literature appropriate to the learning objective.
I am very patient and positive too!
