History postgraduate student offering guidance for history students to aid their understanding and success in the subject

I have a Bachelor's degree in History with Honors from the University of Arizona and am currently pursuing a Master's in Holocaust Studies at Royal Holloway University of London. I was previously a secondary social studies teacher in the U.S. for a year and a half, before returning to education for my master's degree. I am passionate about social studies education and have worked with young people in multiple capacities for 10 years. I understand each student has unique learning needs and cater my lessons to these needs in order to best serve the student. I understand that history is much more than memorizing dates and timelines, and emphasize understanding cause and effect. I work to strengthen students' reading comprehension, critical thinking, and argumentative writing skills.
