I think it is hugely important to build confidence alongside knowledge and so this is an area in which I am keen to help my students. During my studies, I found nothing to be more helpful than continually practicing exam-style questions to build confidence in exam questions and iron out any kinks in particular topics. I find it to be helpful to quickly recap the previous lesson when tutoring to check that my students are absorbing and understanding the content that we cover together. I believe it is key to use positive reinforcements to engage students and promote higher level thinking. I would love to pass on what I found to be most useful to help students succeed in their academic career.
