Advert description
Hello!
Let's face it, Maths is hard. And if you don't have an enthusiastic and energetic teacher who loves the subject, it can feel very boring, and you might grow resentment towards it. I'm here to make Maths easy for you and show you how beautiful and rewarding it truly can be!
A bit about myself:
I am currently in my third year of a Master in Mathematics degree at the University of Durham. Throughout my academic life, I have consistently achieved the highest grades and am effective in teaching my winning methods so that you can get the highest grades too!
I have tutored an 11-year-old through her SATs and an 18-year-old (currently) through his GCSEs and his A-level in Mathematics. So I have experience in explaining concepts and ideas of all ranges in a simplified and understandable manner.
I fundamentally believe that understanding through spaced repetition and active recall keeps the information you learn in Maths locked in your head while also providing motivation in every topic so you can see the history and usefulness behind that topic.
My favorite part of a lesson is that moment when I nudge my tutee just a little bit in the right direction, and their face lights up as they've made a brilliant connection!
We all learn differently; however, there are certain strategies, backed by research, that are proven to work at all levels and with all people. I will be tailoring those strategies individually for all my students and making Maths the fun and beautiful subject it is!
If you're ready to embark on a journey of mathematical discovery, let's work together to achieve your academic goals and unlock your full potential in Maths! Whether you're struggling with specific topics, preparing for exams, or simply want to deepen your understanding, I'm here to guide you every step of the way.
I'm excited to meet you and embark on this exciting learning adventure together. Don't hesitate to get in touch so we can start making Maths a subject you'll love and excel in!
Looking forward to helping you succeed,
John
