English as a foreign language: Topics would be prepared beforehand and sent to the student. This little "homework" should not take more than 5 - 10 mins of reading comprehension. During class, I will introduce a new vocabulary and give student the task to use the vocabulary to summarise the reading. Depending on the level, it will become more intensive. We would briefly discuss the reading and end with comparison of synonymous words. Feedback shall be given at all times. International Relations study: We will choose a specific region of interest to begin with. I will choose a theme to discuss. By focusing on the theme, we will delve into the foreknowledge of the region - discussing the 5 W-Questions. Then, we will use the theories to look at the region in question and discuss possible solutions. (This will require a lot more work because there will be a need to quote specific research papers to back up the ideas and explain the situation on the region. There will be a lot of reading)
