GCSE English for ESOL speakers/students needing focused attention

I have 25 years' classroom experience, including recent experience teaching GCSE English with an excellent student pass rate. I focus on making my classes both memorable and fun, as in my experience that's when learners do best. GCSE English is doable, and if takes making an emoji character map of a 19th century novel extract to get clear on how authors use language and structure to draw us into the main character's world, then that's exactly what we'll do. I'm passionate about language, and in my classes I help students to start using language as a tool for personal empowerment just as much as to pass the all important exam. Together we've got this.
