Advert description
What matters to me is what YOU want to say.
I've always felt that the mark of an excellent writing teacher, facilitator, and even editor is not just command of language, but the capacity to nurture and encourage each writer's unique voice and creativity. I'm known not only for my enthusiasm for and knowledge of language, but also for my attention to detail and ability to attend to your learning while putting you at ease – freeing your unique voice.
Whatever your goals, I truly enjoy helping people of all ages and walks of life express themselves clearly and authentically – whether in creative writing such as poetry, through an academic essay, an article for publication, press release, or even a full book.
My honors degree was in English/poetry, from UCLA, where I also worked as a peer writing tutor. Since then, I've worked as a professional writer and editor for more than 30 years. I mostly worked in print magazines, then moved to online publications. I've also worked as a nonfiction writing coach and facilitator.
An American living in the UK, my previous clients include Wired magazine, IDG, TED conferences, and the United Nations Environment Programme. I am a seasoned editor in US, UK, and United Nations English, and a highly experienced writing tutor, facilitator, and coach.
Let me know how I may help! I very much look forward to working with you.
