A teacher is often portrayed as someone to just follow the lead of. In my opinion though, it takes a lot of listening to the students in order to create an environment where they can thrive. And that is how I would approach teaching: by listening to what the students impression of the subject they want to learn is, understanding their experiences and feelings towards it. And then the personalized teaching will start forming.
