Basketball Coach - Personal philosophy and approach

I have been a basketball coach for 12 years and worked as one in Greece and UK. I have worked in different levels, from professional teams to grassroots organisations. My coaching style revolves around the player primarily. We need to understand the strengths that each player has, in order to improve their weaknesses. There are opportunities for everyone, but we need to ensure that any potential threats are recognised early. Finally, I believe in a more inverted approach, where the player choose and researches under a coach guidance, to improve their skills. Finally, as a scientist, I believe in evidence based practices in training.
