My teaching resolves around three main pillars firstly is the understanding this is by drawing on comparisons or examples for the student to have a correct concept usually in Maths for example this section is very short compared to science. Second pillar is memorisation if it is required or beneficial this allows the student to feel more confident that they have absorbed the knowledge and can recall it when they need to which sets them up nicely for the third stage which is application wrther that is pracgi e questions starting with basic questions to more complicated and multi step problems. This way was developed in my time teaching a class of 15 students on weekend school.
