I prepare my students to practice many exams, so in case someone has an external exam such as O-leve, A1, AS, ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, and school exams from grade 6 to grade 12, also I teach calculus for grade 12 and 1st year college as well as Statistics 1.
I would solve lots of previous paper exams in O-level or S1.
I start tutoring a students from the basics of math as numbers, properties of numbers, and keep building up his/her level further more in order to cover up the whole content.
I keep a close look at a student's success by following up with periodic assessments, not only that, I would review the wrong answers and explain the right way of solution. I do my best day or night to make sure my students understand before go further to next lesson. It's important to engage parents on the educational process of their sons and daughters. It's impossible to achieve success without student's workout and his endeavor to solve homeworks and read handouts about each topic.
