Advert description
My interest in working towards education, first sparked from the time that I started working for Click IT where I provided pre- school computer classes to teach computers to children in the nursery. After few years I applied to work as a Teaching assistant in Grimsdyke School in Hatchend where I worked with Reception, Year 2 and Year 5 children (supporting learning within areas of National Curriculum). I’ve also attended courses on ‘Effective Phonics Teaching’ and implemented that learning in leading phonics sessions and maths activities for smaller groups within and outside the class in order to support their needs and help them learn at their pace and reach their potential. As maths has always been my forte, I’ve led maths interventions across Year 2 and Year 5 where I was responsible to plan and resource a range of activities, keeping in mind each child’s individual needs and recording their progress at all times. All of this has improved my knowledge of differentiating
