English and maths tutor for children aged 5 to 13, in Hertfordshire and online

Hi there, my name is Jamie. I have been an English and maths tutor for the past 12 years, teaching children from Year 1 to Year 8. I specialise in preparing children for their 11+ and Key Stage 2 exams, which usually accounts for about half of my students. I mostly teach my students in person at their homes throughout Hertfordshire (I am based in Bushey), but I also offer online lessons if that is appropriate for my student. In total, I have so far mentored over 300 children 1-on-1, for a little as a few months or as long as 5 years each. My approach to lessons is highly personalised - I generally have chatty and informal interactions with my students, with an emphasis on making learning enjoyable for them. That said, I have learnt to be very adaptable. Whatever kind of tutor a child needs to be, that's what I'll be for them.
