Advert description
My tutoring approach emphasizes building a strong foundational understanding of core concepts rather than rote memorization. I tailor my lessons to each student's individual learning style, using a variety of techniques I've learned across my academic journey.
I break down complex topics into smaller, manageable chunks, ensuring students grasp each step before moving on. I encourage active participation and create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. A typical lesson lasts one hour, but this can be adjusted based on the student's needs and concentration levels.
As a first-year Mathematics student at the University of Edinburgh, I have achieved an A in Advanced Higher Mathematics, an A in Advanced Higher English, a B in Advanced Higher Physics, 5 A's in Higher Chemistry, Physics, Business, English, Maths, and 7 A's in national 5s.
My recent success in these subjects gives me a strong understanding of the challenges students face and effective strategies for overcoming them. I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals and develop a genuine appreciation for the subjects I teach. My lessons are primarily aimed at students preparing for National 5s, Highers and Advanced Highers in Scotland, but I am also open to working with students at equivalent levels, eg - GCSEs, who require support in these subjects.
