Introduction: My main objective is to help you succeed in French. By being
knowledgeable in teaching and tutoring elementary through AP and college level courses, as well as adults who wish to begin or continue their study, I can help you reach your goals.
Assistance in preparing for the French SAT Subject Test and the AP French Exam are also components of my expertise.
After assessing your interest, the source of the difficulty or the extent to which you wish to excel, a learning plan is created to meet the individual needs of the student. To ensure success, the plan is based on the program used in your particular school or by using prep materials published by the College Board, Barron's or another suitable publisher. More informal adult programs are available to interested learners.
Experience: I hold a B.A. and M.A. in French Language, Literature and Linguistics and have taught and tutored all ages and levels including elementary, middle, high school and university students.
Classroom grades significantly improve and AP Exam and SAT French Subject Test scores are satisfactory to superior based on the student's skill level. Adult learner instruction is based on individual needs and based on thematic instruction such as, In The Airport, At a Restaurant, Booking a Room in a hotel, etc.
Even though I have been doing this for several decades, I have kept current with the most recent tools and technology necessary to achieve impressive results.
I have also achieved student and peer recognition for cutting-edge curriculum writing and use of technology to create connections and bring the language to life.
Newly required and developed expertise: Since many high schools, universities, colleges and community colleges are offering World Language courses only as an online option, it is extremely difficult for most students to do well unless they already have an extensive background in the language. I have been extremely successful in helping these students achieve high grades in these courses.
