Reuben Thorpe - 2 years teaching experience. Studied History and Politics at university

I read History and Politics at the University of Exeter as well as excelled in history throughout school. As well as having taught GCSE history for 2 years, my main areas of historical interest are; English heraldry, Ancient Rome and Ancient Greece, Post-war politics in Britain, and American government and politics. Though these are my primary interests, I am not limited to these as I am constantly finding out new areas of our history that fascinate me. Were a student to ask me about a period of history I am not as familiar with, I would go away, research, and impart that knowledge to them. As someone with previous experience in teaching, I am confident in my ability to develop critical thinking in my students.

To conclude, my sheer passion for history as well as my patience, understanding, and commitment to my students (as exhibited by my 2 years of teaching), combined with my adaptability, internet and phone access, communication skills, and availability - I believe that we would work brilliantly together.
