Advert description
I have good patience and am good at translating abstract mathematical concepts into real objects to help students better accept and build better mathematical cognition. For example, if my teaching objective is to help students understand the meaning of fractions (e.g. 1/2, 1/4, 3/4).
l will use concrete objects to demonstrate the concept of fractions. l will prepare items that can be divided, such as cookies, chocolate bars, etc. Use them to help students understand that the "whole" can be divided into multiple "parts."Continuing to divide the chocolate bar into four equal portions, indicating that each portion is 1/4, the student can observe that the more portions are divided into a whole, the smaller each portion becomes. Students are encouraged to get involved by dividing items into pieces to represent 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, etc.
After students have mastered the basic concepts of fractions, l will introduce simple addition and subtraction of fractions. For example:"If you have a quarter of the pizza and you take a quarter of it, what's the total?" Then l will continue to use graphics or real objects to help students understand this type of addition and subtraction, so that they gradually become familiar with the basic operation of fractions.
In the whole teaching process, l will constantly observe the students' understanding and give timely feedback and encouragement.
