Hi, my name's Aimee! I offer personalised lessons to students in primary education (KS1 and KS2).

As of September 2024, I will be undertaking my PGCE (teacher training course) at Bristol UWE. I currently work as a Nanny for a lovely family and their three children (ages 9-months, 5-years, and 6-years). As a Nanny, It's not only important to support each child's emotional and developmental needs, but it's also important to support each child academically. Therefore, I often assist the children with their homework and ensure their understanding of the material covered in class. I am a very creative person and love to incorporate this into my teaching. For example, in previous employment as a Nanny, I developed an engaging learning activity to aid the child's understanding of equations. For this activity, I wrote an equation on a piece of paper where either a mathematical symbol (e.g., 7 _ 2 = 14) or a number (e.g., 7 x _ = 14) was missing. He then had to find the correct symbol/number (which was hidden amongst other symbols/numbers) to complete the equation. By engaging him in this learning activity, his understanding of equations greatly improved. I understand each child is unique in the way they learn best. Therefore, I tailor each lesson to your child's needs and learning style to ensure they get the most out of the sessions.
