Hello

I am a fully qualified secondary science teacher, rated Outstanding by Ofsted. I no longer teach in a school, but my love for education has kept me tutoring.

My background:
I studied writing and performance at university, and I now work in business strategy. Lots of things affect the way we think and learn. I use my varied experiences to help me present difficult concepts in a way that suits the individual I am tutoring. No one teaching approach suits all!

I can support with:
- Improving English language speaking and writing for students of any age.
- Modules across KS2, KS3 and GCSE level Science, English and Business Studies.
- Supporting the transition from KS2 to KS3 (primary to secondary) and KS3 to KS4 (the start of GCSEs). (This can be particularly useful in securing sound understanding of fundamental topics in advance, to boost confidence.)
- Performance skills to children, such as speeches, presentations, or for general confidence.
- Supporting exam prep such as Common Entrance and the 11+.

Having individually focussed learning time helps students feel confident to revisit difficult topics at a pace that suits them. The personalised, friendly style of my sessions will always be planned to help your child learn in the way they are most comfortable.
