Advert description
My teaching focuses on the progress of students as a priority. Progress that results in a better understanding of what exam boards expect from a student during exams, as well as improving their subject ability. Across the different subject categories (Reading, listening, writing and speaking) I will share my personal experiences on what works best by guiding students through writing plans, past listening and reading papers, and frequent general conversation. I will furthermore include regular vocabulary tests and grammar recaps to improve every part of their subject ability. The most important factor is that I will adapt the speed of learning and amount of information given to what suits each individual student best. I believe every student learns best in different ways and I will ensure to factor such in my teaching.
I’ve become fluent in French very quickly by speaking it from a very young age with my parents. But to aim for perfect I chose to do extra Saturday lessons in French on top of my regular education. Eventually this has led to a Grade 9 for GCSE a year early. Next up I studied French at the International Baccalaureate where I achieved a Grade 7. For this examination I also chose to complete an extended essay in French to illustrate my writing ability as well as develop my understanding of the French culture. On top of my French studies, I have studied Spanish at GCSE achieving a Grade 9 and have chosen to study Russian in my upcoming university degree alongside French.
I have always enjoyed teaching and helping friends and peers in improving their language abilities and wish to carry this on to aid others succeed in their own exams.
