Learning can be boring, there is no doubt about that, but I aim enthuse my learners with as much knowledge as possible about our natural world! Lesson. Whilst at school, I needed many tutors to try and get me excited about school. As a result, I like to think I know what gets the environmental juices flowing. My lessons will be very involved, drawing in on personal experiences and the environment around us to really connect our knowledge and apply it to our day to day. The content can be chosen by the learner or can be prepared ahead of time to align with school requirements. A relationship with the learner is important so we can both be on the same page and follow the journey together.
I have presented to world experts in the circular economy sector, shared my research as part of public outreach platforms to promote women and non-binary scientists and have also shared my experience with primary schools to enthuse the next generation about science! I am also a finalist for the future game changers award (2022)!
The environment is essential for our future generations. It is crucial that they understand the inner workings and the fundamentals in order to make the difference the earth needs to see!
