Enthusiastic chemistry teacher with classroom and tutor experience. Well versed in GCSE science and A-level chemistry.

I am able to draw on my past experiences as both classroom teacher and private tutor in order to adapt my teaching style to any student. Generally, tutees want help to prepare for examinations and class tests.In these cases I like to use real past paper questions as a basis for assessing what a student knows, and what they need to learn in order to achieve top marks on exam papers. However, I am also prepared to teach topics from scratch if the student has gaps in their knowledge, or is being home schooled. Chemistry is my speciality, having attained a first class maters degree from the University of Bristol in 2016. I have taught chemistry at A-level for over 5 years both in further education and privately. I am familiar with all the common exam specifications, including AQA, OCR A, OCR B and Edexcel. I have about 2 years experience in teaching GCSE science. I also have A grades in A-Level Biology and Maths, which enables me to teach GCSE Biology and Maths. I am a qualified teacher, having passed my Level 5 Diploma in Education and Teaching at The City of Bristol College in 2021. This year I am on sabbatical leave from my full-time job as a chemistry lecturer at The City of Bristol College, and looking to expand my tutoring practice. I really enjoy helping to educate young people, and I am looking forward to working with some new students.
