Experienced Lecturer supporting Art students with research and writing at FE and HE

I am an artist, designer and educator with a BA (hons) degree in Fine Art, an MA in Visual Culture and a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education). I have over 30 years’ experience lecturing at Further Education Colleges, Universities and Art Schools. This has involved writing, preparing and delivering curricula across a range of levels of Higher Education from Foundation Degrees, to BA (Hons) and MAs. I have taught art, design and media students at degree level and above across a wide range of disciplines: Fine Art, Graphics, Illustration, Fashion, Textiles, 3D Design, Photography, Film and Theatre. I have an extensive knowledge of art and design history, cultural and contextual studies and critical theory. In addition to lecturing, my teaching roles have involved supporting, advising and supervising students' research and writing, from essays and reports to BA and MA dissertations. I have worked with students with a range of abilities including those who require additional support. I am a passionate, enthusiastic and sympathetic teacher, who sees my role as inspiring students in developing their ideas, creative potential and facilitating their research and writing.
