English Language and Literature tutoring sessions tailored to your child’s needs

I am a driven and caring individual with a Bachelors degree in English Language and Literature. I am currently undertaking a PGCE to qualify as a secondary school teacher but I am looking to support people on a wider scale with their English skills.

I can work with people of all ages and abilities to support in reading, writing and practice skills which will all help contribute towards a higher standard of English generally. I can also work with pupils working towards exam levels including GCSE and A level exams having experienced these myself and I can offer essay advice and proofreading.

I have experience working with pupils in school between the ages of 11 and 19 to plan and deliver lessons in both English language and literature. Through the delivery of these lessons I have developed a variety of delivery skills and styles to suit a variety of different learners, whether that be visual, auditory or kinaesthetic. I have also developed the skill of differentiation to be able to deliver lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of each pupil to ensure they can access the lesson materials and content at a level suitable to them. I pride myself in equalising the quality of learning for all pupils to enable all pupils to achieve and access learning to benefit them in their future lives.

As an English enthusiast myself I have experienced the benefits of enhanced teacher support to develop my skills and I have been able to expand these skills wider into my everyday life. English is a lifelong skill to have and use in every area of life and your future career. So why not
