My lessons are individually tailored to GCSE students. I am most comfortable with tutoring GCSE Maths, and Science.

I have a wide array of communication skills developed through my time as a self-employed tutor, volunteering in a charity shop, nursing home and volunteering to teach SEN students at my local mosque. This demonstrates my ability to adapt my communication skills for different ages and the fact that I have experience explaining convoluted concepts in layman’s terms to students formerly. My voluntary work with the SEN students taught me the importance of using analogies and non-verbal cues to explain concepts as everyone’s perception and understanding works differently. This will allow me to communicate effectively with the students when tutoring. My patience and empathy have been cultivated as I often explained the same topic in multiple ways to ensure comprehension. My problem-solving abilities were sharpened, as I had to quickly devise strategies to address and overcome learning obstacles. Additionally, tutoring fostered my organisational skills, as it required planning lessons, managing time effectively, and tracking student progress. I will use powerpoint and textbook questions in order to teach. The ability of the student regarding a certain topic will be discerned and then I will tailor the questions to their current ability and gradually progress from there.
