Biomedical science graduate teaching Biology

I have a first-class Biomedical Science degree. I am very passionate about Biology and certainly Genetics. I have tutoring experience in teaching Biology to people my age and younger to prepare them for exams or help them to write coursework. This background enables me to be able to help tutor students who are struggling with the science component of their education. There is no greater joy for me than to patiently guide a student to the correct answer. When a student has that "aha!" moment, all my efforts are worth it.
I believe in working with each student's individual approaches to learning to help them understand the material. If students were struggling with a concept, I would figure out a different way to teach or apply that concept. I like to use presentations and quizzes in my teaching because I believe that the visual demonstration of new knowledge is way better than a simple explanation. I have received feedback from students saying that this way of teaching along with the quizzes helped them to learn the content throughout the lecture.
