English tutor providing lessons for new learners or those wishing to pass GCSE/ESOL exams

An educator working in UK schools for a number of years. I have a 2:1 degree in BSc Social sciences with a HND in language studies. I have a passion for literacy and I am an ambassador for Teach First, with a keen interest in enhancing literacy of pupils. I have worked with schools with pupils who require additional interventions to raise their English fluency so that they can access learning.

I am a qualified secondary teacher with a QTS in PGCE secondary. I have a DBS to work in schools and with pupils. Working with students of ESL /EAL(English as a second/additonal language), to enhance language for GCSE exams, by identifying gaps in learning, and ESOL examination preparations.

I have worked in various educational settings to gain valuable experience of the UK national curriculum.
I have initially worked as the following; teaching assistant, cover supervisor, to then progress to teach in classrooms across Lancashire; working as an academic mentor with pupils who required additional support during post-covid, and a geography teacher.

My lessons focus on the needs of the students, especially in relation to the schools curriculum. By focussing on: the gaps in their curriculum; key ideas and concepts and tailoring lessons to help students learn the new skills; they can then go on to apply it independently in their exams and futures.
