Maths teacher of ks1 and ks2 with some additional knowledge of ks3

Since Achieving QTS in late 2013, I have over 9 years' experience in class teaching and with the knowledge that I have attained, I believe I am well suited for this role. I trained in the Reception and Key Stage 1 phases and although I have predominantly worked in Key Stage 2, I have spent time team teaching and planning with teachers at the lower end of the school.
My previous posts at Ivydale and Haberdashers Askes KTG respectively have given me varied circumstances in which to develop valuable experience, such as team and individual planning, split year group teaching and developing a wide range of assessment opportunities as methods of formative and summative assessment. I have been able to experience and assess the effectiveness of the curriculum and ensure that standards are not only targeted to be met, but also exceeded. This has been utilised using termly checklists and detailed conversations on areas of strength and areas to improve. In my current post, I am Head of English and Head of Boys Sport in KS2. These roles have allowed me to further understand the intricacies of these subjects and implement effective change where necessary.
